Located 80 Kms off the coast of Suratthani and about 560 Kms south of Bangkok. Koh Samui offers a unique style and supported with its own airport, Samui is rapidly becoming one of Thailand’s most popular destinations.
Due to its unique location, Koh Samui and its surrounding islands, offers fine and dry weather in the European Summer Season of May - September.
Our cruising area will include:
The untouched Ang Thong group of island - The original setting for the novel “The Beach”,
Koh Phangan – Home of the “Full Moon Party” and
Koh Tao – a world class diving destination. With this diverse range of options, Koh Samui has something for everyone.
Running from May – September 2005, Koh Samui Flotillas will be of 11 days duration, with an option of 3 days extended free sailing at the end of the Flotilla.
Start times will be 18.00 every 2nd Sunday commencing 1st May with the last flotilla starting on the 4th September.
Now sailing in Thailand is high season all year round.
Special Note:
For this first year, Koh Samui will only be offering flotilla holidays and will not be a bareboat base. Clients can enjoy the usual Free Sailing flexibility within the Flotilla’s cruising ground.

We plan to sell whole yachts for groups or as “Mile Catchers” by the cabin, for people who want to join us in these exciting, once in a lifetime deliveries.
As well as the sailing, there is plenty of time to visit historic cities and beautiful undiscovered islands. There is also great shopping destinations on route.
Phuket, Thailand to Langkawi, Malaysia Flotilla
20th March – 3rd April 2005
Our first one-way flotilla will be over the Easter Holiday, commencing on 20th March and will be a 14 days Phuket – Langkawi traditional flotilla.
This will be a 14-day flotilla and will cover the cruising grounds of between our Phuket and Langkawi Bases.
The route will include all the regular Thailand favorites: PhangNga Bay with its incredible lime stone columns, Krabi and the Phi Phi Islands. We then move south to the less developed islands of Trang, Tarutao and the Butang Islands stopping to visit the Emerald cave on Koh Muk and Rok Nok Group.
From the Butangs we continue south crossing the Thai boarder to the Island of Langkawi in Malaysia. After checking in at Telaga Harbour, a small marina on the west coast of Langkawi, there is a unique opportunity to view of Langkawi by Cable Car, which is situated very close to the marina.
You will then have an opportunity to explore the island of Langkawi before arriving at our base at the Royal Langkawi Yacht Club for a farewell dinner.

Re-location Flotilla - Langkawi to Sebana Cove, Malaysia
3rd April – 13th April (10 Days)
This is a unique opportunity to cruise in company down the Malacca Straits.
Made famous as the main shipping route for the spice trade, our Malacca Straits flotilla route visits the Islands of Penang and Pankor along with a stop at the historic town of Malacca. We then continue on down the straits to Sabana Cove, which is situated on the Malaysian mainland opposite the Republic of Singapore. Singapore offers a great range of shopping and activities.
We also arrive in time for Boat Asia, the Singapore Boat Show. 14th-18th April.

Re-location Flotilla - Sebana Cove, Malaysia to Koh Samui, Thailand
15th April – 29th April (14 Days)
Departing Sabana Cove, our route takes us along the east coast of Malaysia, stopping at the beautiful Tioman Islands, where the famous movie “South Pacific” was filmed in the 50’s.
From Tioman, also a world class diving destination, we continue along the coast,
stopping at Redang, another great diving and snorkeling spot.
From Redang, we enter Thailand waters with a 3 day coastal cruise exploring small fishing villages in untouched bays, stopping at Pak Phanang before arriving at our final destination of Koh Samui.
On arrival at Koh Samui there will be ample time to explore this new cruising area before checking in and the traditional farewell party.

Koh Samui Flotilla – 11 Days, May - September
11 day flotilla with 3 day extension option.
Our Koh Samui flotilla starts in under the watchful eye of the Big Budda on the north coast of Koh Samui.
From here our route takes us to Had Rin Nok on Koh Phangan, this is the venue of the world famous “full moon” parties. We then continue around the Island with plenty of opportunities to visit the islands many undeveloped beaches.
We then head north to Koh Tao, a world class diving and snorkeling destination. From Koh Tao we head south through the Ang Thong National Marine Park, with a Beach BBQ mid week followed by free sailing back to Koh Samui. We hold our traditional Regatta day on the Tuesday followed by our farewell party. For those who wish to explore further there will be a 3 day free sailing extension available at the end of the flotilla.
For those clients who are interested in Racing, the Koh Samui International Regatta will be held from the 22nd – 28th May. We intend to offer a special racing Flotilla 15th – 29th May which will include the Regatta.

Getting to Koh Samui (Air):
Located some 80 kilometers off the coast of Surat Thani and about 560 kilometers from Bangkok, the easiest and fastest way to reach Koh Samui is by air from Bangkok, Phuket, Krabi or Singapore with Bangkok Airways, the only airline to serve Koh Samui.
The airport must rank as one of the most beautiful in Asia and further. Its tropically planted gardens burst forth with flowering glory and greenery, year round.
Transfer time from the Airport to the yachts is approximately15mins

It is also possible to fly into Suratthani and connect to Koh Samui by ferry transfer.
Getting to Koh Samui (Land):
If you are traveling by land, Suratthani is a hub for most main bus and train travel through Thailand.
There are 15 ferries crossing between Surathani /Donsak Pier on the Thai mainland and Koh Samui per day. Ferry crossing time is approximately 1.5 hours.
